Introduction to Psychological Treatments

Introduction to basic concepts and theoretical views of psychotherapy (i.e., conceptualization of psychopathology and approach to treatment according to various therapeutic orientations), with attention to aspects of the psychotherapeutic process such as initiating psychotherapy, multicultural factors, and termination. Also addresses ethics, evidence-based treatment, and other professional issues. PREREQ: Open to advanced clinical doctoral students or with permission of instructor.
