Emorie Beck is a graduate student in Josh Jackson’s Personality Measurement and Development Lab. Emorie’s primary interest is in idiographic approaches to personality. To that end, she studies measurement, modeling, and change at the individual level in personality (as well as across people). Emorie uses a variety of data sources, including experience sampling measures, longitudinal panel studies, and intervention techniques, as well a variety of modeling techniques, including time series models, network approaches, Bayesian statistics, and machine learning techniques. Emorie also uses tools like R and Shiny to engage in maximum transparency in the scientific process.
