Introduction to Affective Science

The complexity and significance of emotions make their study particularly exciting and challenging. This graduate seminar offers a broad overview of emotion theory and research, including examining major models of emotion. Course content will stretch across psychological disciplines, with a particular focus on social (e.g., culture, politics) and developmental (e.g., child, adult) research. Other areas such as mental health will also be included. PREREQ: Graduate standing.
