I hope this message finds you well! I’m a WashU alum (Class of 2017) and I wanted out as we’re hiring a Research Assistant and figured some recent WashU graduates might be interested. This position is ideal for someone who’s interested in going to graduate school, either medical school or a Ph.D. in psychology or neuroscience in ~2-3 years but wants some research experience/to get on some publications. The position is with the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program based in Atlanta, Georgia and primarily involves working with veterans and servicemembers with PTSD, but we also treat depression, anxiety, cognitive effects of TBI, and a host of other things in an intensive outpatient program. Research assistants would be primarily responsible for conducting informed consent discussions, survey administration, running a startle paradigm that collects psychophysiological data, some handling of biological samples, and data entry and management. We also conduct research on MDMA for the treatment of PTSD. If you know anyone that may be interested, please pass this along and have them email their CV to me at cmcoghl@emory.edu. Thank you!
