Jaisal Merchant

Jaisal is a clinical graduate student working with Dr. Deanna Barch in the Cognitive Control and Psychopathology Lab. She received her B.A. in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University in 2017.  After graduating, she worked for two years at the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Program at McLean Hospital, coordinating a study on reward processing and motivation in a transdiagnostic sample of patients with psychosis.  Jaisal is interested in studying effort-cost decision-making deficits in psychosis and hopes to explore how these deficits relate to social functioning.
