Ata Karagoz

Graduate Student

Ata is a graduate student with Dr. Zach Reagh. He received a B.S. in Neuroscience from University of Texas at Austin, where he studied the neural mechanisms of spatial navigation and associative inference in Dr. Alison Preston's lab. Ata continued as a lab manager in the lab for two years, learning how to collect and analyze fMRI data. His research interests include studying the formation of cognitive maps and hierarchical structures in the brain that accurately represent relationships in the world. He will use assorted techniques such as representational similarity analyses, reinforcement learning models, and natural language processing
