    Starting in Fall 2024!

My lab investigates the links between attention and emotion throughout the adult lifespan. We are interested in how individuals of different ages, from the teens to the 90s, manage their own emotions and perceive emotions in others, and we try to understand the role of visual attention in producing age differences both in the regulation and perception of emotions.

We use a multi-method approach in our research on emotional development across the lifespan. We use eye tracking to measure gaze patterns towards emotional stimuli, as well as continuous mood measurement and various channels of psychophysiology to assess affective responses to those stimuli. We also employ various behavioral paradigms to assess emotion perception accuracy and attentional abilities.
