USC M.S. in Applied Psychology

I am very pleased to announce that the Master of Science in Applied Psychology Program at the University of Southern California has begun its admissions process for the 2020-2021 academic year. This accelerated, one-year degree program is at the intersection of psychology theory, research, and practice in business settings.

All successful businesses and organizations need two things: loyal employees and loyal customers. The Master of Science in Applied Psychology focuses directly on these two crucial areas through studying both consumer psychology and organizational psychology, both of which are projected to be top occupational growth areas in the coming decade.

This program is unique for its career preparation of psychology and liberal arts graduates. A required practicum in a business setting in Los Angeles and a research treatise capstone are highlights of the program. Students have held internships in market research, marketing, human relations, public relations, organizational development, user experience, and social media communications amongst many fields.

This highly selective program continues to grow, with over 500 alumni in the United States and around the world. The program may be of interest to those who seek to use psychology in a real-world setting other than in a clinical context. The education and the support they will receive by joining our diverse student body at the University of Southern California is cutting-edge and challenging.
